The Palyul Foun­da­tion of Canada is an incor­po­rated, non-profit char­i­ta­ble orga­ni­za­tion ded­i­cated to the preser­va­tion and advance­ment of the teach­ings of the Nyingma lin­eage of Vajrayana Bud­dhism, with par­tic­u­lar empha­sis on the tra­di­tions of the Palyul school, which is headed by His Holi­ness Karma Kuchen Rin­poche, its twelfth throne holder. The Foun­da­tion funds and main­tains Orgyan Osal Cho Dzong, a 350 acre tem­ple and retreat facil­ity, and His Holi­ness’ seat in Canada. The Foun­da­tion also spon­sors the vis­its of Palyul teach­ers to Canada, the teach­ing and other Dharma activ­i­ties of Ven. Lama Jigme, Orgyan Dzong’s spir­i­tual direc­tor, the sup­port of monks and nuns, and main­tain­ing and enlarg­ing its exten­sive library. As funds become avail­able, the Foun­da­tion will begin the con­struc­tion of the Pad­masamb­hava Tem­ple for World Peace, and sev­eral stu­pas (mon­u­ments which sym­bol­ize the enlight­ened mind of the Bud­dha and con­tain sacred relics of Bud­dha Sakya­muni and other enlight­ened mas­ters). The Foun­da­tion issues offi­cial tax deductible receipts for all dona­tions it receives.
