There are many lineages of the great yidam Vajrakilaya, the main yidam (meditation deity) of the Nyingma Tradition. Among them, the tradition of the great fifteenth century treasure revealer Ratna Lingpa is very highly regarded and considered extremely effective and swift. The transmissions of Terton Ratna Lingpa have been practiced in an unbroken lineage by Nyingmapas down to the present day, and His Holiness Karma Kuchen Rinpoche and all the previous throne holders of the Palyul have kept them as their innermost heart practice. This Empowerment (Wang) will bestow the authorization to practice the Yidam Vajrakilaya, who is supreme in overcoming obstacles and interferences of all kinds on the path to full enlightenment. His Holiness will also give the Lung (textual transmission) to practice the sadhana of Vajrakila.
Please note that having taken refuge is a prerequisite in attending the empowerment of Vajrakila.
